Where Are They Now - Mike Mole

This segment of Where Are They Now features a cast member of Making the Cut; Mike Mole. Mike left StFX in 2005/2006 to further his pro career (Mike played 1 game with the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL in 2002/2003). He played 57 games last year between the Phoenix Roadrunners and the San Diego Gulls in the ECHL. He then started this year with the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL before getting called up to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.

After watching Mike during his 2003/2004 season with the X-men, it is to no surprise that he is back in the AHL. And at only 24 years of age, he has plenty of time to continue his development to reach higher destinations (goal tenders tend to peak at a later age).

I plan on doing updates for all of the Where Are They Now candidates later in the season to see how they made out, so check back in March/April to see if Mike stays up with the Sound Tigers.

I was at X when Mike played there. I was curious where he was playing now having seen him on Making the Cut. I looked him up on the Sound Tiger's website, but he's listed as no longer on the roster. Any idea where he's playing now?!

Yeah, he's back down with the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL. He actually got sent back down shortly after I posted the update, but I forgot to add this detail. You can HockeyDB him to get his latest stats (HockeyDB = the movie equivalent to IMDB).

Here also is an article that mentions Mike: Article Link
